Vientiane – the capital city of Laos, still feels like a sleepy city with relaxed charm, tree-lines boulevards, interesting wats and colorful markets. Pakse - the provincial capital of Pakse is one of the most Thai-like towns in all of Laos, and one that, up until recently, most travellers and backpackers tended to use as a transit point and little else. Pakse is an ideal base to explore much of it from. |
Day 1 : VIENTIANE ARRIVAL (L,D)
Upon arrival, coach and guide pick up at Vattay airport of Vientiane. Transfer to the hotel for check in.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Transfer for Vientiane city tour:
Wat Sisaket- a Buddhist wat in Vientiane, Laos. It is situated on Lane Xang Road, on the corner with Setthathirat Road, to the northwest of Haw Phra Kaew. Wat Si Saket features a cloister wall with more than 2000 ceramic and silver Buddha images. The wat also houses a museum.
Wat Hophakeo - the formal royal temple, now a museum with beautiful examples of Buddhist sculpture
Tat Luang Patuxay - a monumental arch inspired by the Arc de Triumphal, but executed with Laos motifs.
Tarat Sao
Dinner at local restaurant. Back to hotel for rest. O/N in Vientiane.
Day 2 : VIENTIANE – PAKSE – KONG ISLAND (B,L,D)
05:00 Check out. Transfer to the airport for taking the flight to Pakse (QV512 06:30 – 07:45)
07:45 Arrive in Pakse. Have breakfast. Transfer to hotel for check-in. Then around Pakse:
Wat phou: ruined Khmer Hindu temple complex in southern Laos.,located at the base of mount Phu Kao, some 6 km from the Mekong river in Champasak province.
Have lunch and then move to Kong Island.
Dinner .
Time at leisure. Overnight in Kong Island.
Day 3 : KONG – PAKSE (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer for visiting:
Somphamit
Kongphapheng
Water Fall
Have lunch then transfer back to Pakse.
Dinner, time at leisure.
Overnight in Pakse.
Day 4 : PAKSE - SIEMRIEP (B
After breakfast, check out, visit Morning Market,
then transfer to the airport for taking the flight to the next
destination (QV513).
