Day 1 : VIENTIANE ARRIVAL (L,D)
Welcome by our guide at Vientiane Wattay Airport. Pick up and transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon: City tour takes in:
Wat Sisaket - the house of thousand Buddha images.
Hophakeo - the former royal temple of the Lao monarchy.
Pra That Luang Stupa - the most important national monument in Laos, a symbol of both the Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty.
Patuxai Victory gate - a large monument very reminiscent of the Arc de Triumph in Paris.
Free for shopping at Talat Sao market where purchases a number of goods such as jewelry, silk and modern and traditional clothing, wooden crafts, musical instruments, electronics, appliances, housewares and seasonal fruits.
Dinner and overnight in Vientiane.
Day 2 : VIENTIANE – LUANG PRABANG (B,L,D)
Flight number: QV101 VTE - LPQ (11:50-12:30)
In the morning: After breakfast, free for your own until transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, pick up and drive to downtown for lunch. Check in at your hotel and leisure time.
In the afternoon: A half day city tour including:
Wat Mai - a Buddhist temble in its city. It is the largest and most richly decorated of the temples in Luang Prabang.
Wat Xieng Thong - a Buddhist temple (locally named Wat). There are several small halls and stupas that contain Buddha images of the period. Especially, a reclining Buddha sanctuary which contains a rare reclining Buddha that dates from the construction of the temple.
Wat Visoun - a very old temple in Luang Prabang that houses many Budda images. This temple has restoration works done numerous times and there are many art design of Thailu, Sip song Phanna, Thaiphuan, Muong Xieng Khouang and Lao Lanexang.
Phousy mountain - The hill is a local religious site, and houses several Buddhist shrines. It is bordered on one side by the Mekong River, on the other side by the Nam Khan River.
In the evening visit night market. Dinner and overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 3 : LUANG PRABANG CITY TOUR (B,L,D)
In the morning: Early morning join alms giving, visit fresh market, back to hotel for breakfast. City tour such sights as:
Royal Palace - built in 1904 during the French colonial era. Its tall, swaying palm trees and elegantly spired rooftop dominate the skyline. It’s simply a beautiful museum to visit, especially if you’re trying to avoid the heat of the day and glean information about local history.
Pak Ou Cave - located about 25 km from Luang Prabang. Take boat trip to visit
Pak Ou Cave. On the way, stop to visit Sanghai village, Sangkong village. Stop on a cave where have lots of small and big Buddha images, mostly donated by local people. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon: Boat back to mainland. Proceed to Luang Prabang. Free at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 4 : LUANG DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast, free for your own until transfer
to airport for departure.
